In this article, I'll be showing you the in's and out's of a completed drawing done in Photoshop, featuring my own character Seishi. I'll be giving you tips on sketching proportions, lining and detailing, as well as shading skin, hair, eyes and clothing.

When sketching proportions it's a good idea to considder the placement of area's with others, such as lining the top of the ears with the eyes, the bottom of the ears with the nose, and the mouth with the jaw line.

As a follow up of my "How to: Anatomy" journal that was received so well by the community, I will continue this series with a how to on color.
Color is considered to be one of the hardest subjects when it comes to art. Most beginners (and even some advanced artists) struggle to get the colors of their work right. I myself do as well.
